Emily and John Stuckey
Hope Fund Sponsor
ARCHway believes in recovery from the disease of addiction.
As John and I embark on our next adventure together, we wanted to start our own HOPE Fund Sponsorship.
This HOPE Fund is our way of giving back to a community that has loved and supported us in so many ways. It is, also, our way of helping others on their journey to recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. And it will be part of the legacy we leave behind.
Substance use and mental health are two subjects that are not often discussed openly in our society, but for John and me, they are part of our everyday conversation. We ask questions, we look for and at times, demand answers, and we strive to break the chains of addiction that are keeping so many from being the best version of themselves. John and I want to help save lives, and we hope to do that through this sponsorship.
Recovery is no easy process
It takes a lot of work, and it takes a lot of support. John and I are lucky to have an extensive support system, but we know that others are not as fortunate. The board, staff, volunteers, and supporters who are part of the ARCHway family have acted as a support system for many on their journey to recovery. They have not only helped to knock down barriers to recovery through education, peer support, and financial assistance, they have also wrapped their arms around those struggling and helped to lift them up…both physically and figuratively. So, this HOPE Fund represents that community – the supportive community that constantly provides the hope that recovery is possible.
We are also excited to support ARCHway’s partnership with NPRA to grow and develop the peer workforce. Peer work is at the core of recovery, and we are excited to help more people achieve long-term recovery through this work. Our peers help us recover!
As the founder of ARCHway Institute, John volunteered his time and talents for many years to get ARCHway to where it is today. As the current CEO, I am working to sustain and grow the good work that he and the rest of the Stuckey family have accomplished. The two of us together are very much invested in this work, and we know that ARCHway will continue to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by substance use and mental health disorders, making this HOPE Fund a part of our future legacy.
