We never hear the stories of the kids who got treatment for a mental health concern and didn’t take their own lives or the lives of others. These stories are just as important as the ones that grab headlines though. These are the stories that ARRCHway humbly and quietly creates every single day by providing a path to wellness to socioeconomically disadvantaged families and individuals.

Thank you ARCHway for all your support.

ARCHway Team,

Thanks so much for all that you do. The client who received your generous gift is thriving in his recovery. We will follow up this week with a quote from him this week hopefully. In the meantime, here is a quote from me.

It is our nation’s shame and the dirtiest of our country’s secrets that we are, in fact, extremely effective at treating substance use disorders and mental health concerns over the course of a comprehensive continuum of care. Quality of care is not our issue in America—access to that care is. We classify substance use disorders and mental health concerns as diseases, but we do not acknowledge the contagious nature of these diseases that tear at the very hearts and souls of our communities. Every child who we let spiral down the drain is not just a personal tragedy for that individual’s family—the are a tragedy for the entire community. We are not simply leaving them at risk; we are putting their peers and siblings at risk as well with our apathy. We never hear the stories of the kids who got treatment for a substance use disorder and didn’t overdose. We never hear the stories of the kids who got treatment for a mental health concern and didn’t take their own lives or the lives of others. These stories are just as important as the ones that grab headlines though. These are the stories that ARCHway humbly and quietly creates every single day by providing a path to wellness to socioeconomically disadvantaged families and individuals. We, as a society, have the ability to prevent tens of thousands of deaths and the tidal waves of trauma those deaths create in families, schools, and entire communities. We have the ability and thankfully ARCHway has the will to act.
