In receiving this award, they were recognized for their work through ARCHway to help individuals and families impacted by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in the community.
The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors that the Rotary Club can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals, and they are recognized for their outstanding contributions and their “SERVICE ABOVE SELF” to support those in the community who are in great need.
This honor accompanies a donation of $1,000 or more, in the recipient’s name, to Rotary International’s “Annual Program Fund,” which supports Rotary’s world-wide programs.
This award could not have gone to two better individuals who have dedicated the last 11 years of their lives to supporting those impacted by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Dan and Jan Stuckey have personally spoken with and supported many individuals and their caregivers in the recovery process. They are fierce advocates for these individuals and families, and they have helped to grow a non-profit organization that has assisted thousands in finding and maintaining recovery.
Congratulations Dan and Jan on this well-deserved award!
We also want to recognize The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Sunrise Rotary Club for their support on another successful Helicopter Golf Ball Drop! The event raised over $27,500 to support ARCHway’s efforts to provide education, peer support, financial assistance, and workforce development for peer support professionals. Not to mention, we have 15 excited winners of the golf ball drop who are currently claiming their prizes.
Thank you to all involved in supporting this event!
