Lots of laughter & good vibes at this event to support long-term recovery from substance use disorders!
Another great Sober St. Louis Comedy Night is in the books, and it was a blast!
We want to thank our event sponsors: Learn to Live Recovery, Missouri Mental Health Foundation, ARCA, Aviary Recovery Center, St. Louis CRUSH, RecoVET Health Care, Living with Purpose, and the Recovery Coalition of Greater St. Louis.
We also want to thank the lovely ladies at Hilljack House for volunteering their time at the event. We couldn’t have done it without them!
Thank you to all who attended and came out to
support the cause!
The event raised nearly $9,000 to support those in and seeking recovery from substance use disorders (SUD). A portion of the proceeds will be used to provide peer support and financial assistance, putting folks on a pathway to long-term recovery. In addition, a portion will support ARCHway’s efforts to grow and develop the peer workforce through NPRA-MO.
NPRA-MO is an affiliate of the National Peer Recovery Alliance (NPRA). It is made up of peer support specialists in the state. Currently, NPRA-MO is working on developing a mentorship model for those in recovery who are interested in becoming peer support specialists. This mentorship program would include personal and professional mentorship and resource readiness. Dave Aumiller and Jake Dunavant were present at the event to represent NPRA-MO and talk about it with those who were interested. Read more information on NPRA-MO.
Above all, this event was put on to celebrate recovery and to celebrate those in the St. Louis community who battled and won their fight with SUD. It was a fabulous event, and the recovery community sure knows how to party!
Thank you to our comedians – Aaron Putnam, Max Pryce, and Kristen Toomey! They had the crowd laughing from the moment they got on stage! Not to mention, SansBar took the event up a notch with its delicious mocktails!
Thank you to TREX Downtown for hosting us – it was the perfect venue for the perfect event, and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.
