HILLSBORO, Mo. — The ARCHway Institute, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building, supporting, and funding recovery ecosystems, will launch its 2026 Recovery Ecosystems Campaign on Wednesday, August 12, at the Hillsboro Community Civic Center. St. Louis and Jefferson County mark the first of five launch communities nationwide, followed by Columbus, Ohio; Little Rock, Arkansas; Southwest Florida; and Southern Illinois.
The event will bring together recovery community organizations, treatment providers, recovery housing operators, employers, faith communities, and civic leaders to align around a shared community-driven model for long-term recovery. The campaign follows a five-phase framework — Convene, Align, Build, Mobilize, Sustain — and establishes a Local HOPE Fund in each city as a dedicated giving vehicle so that dollars raised locally stay local, directly assisting individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
“Recovery doesn’t happen in a program — it happens in a community,” said John Stuckey, Founder & CEO of The ARCHway Institute and a person in long-term recovery. “Jefferson County and the greater St. Louis region have felt the weight of this crisis as deeply as anywhere in America. We’re launching here because this community is ready to lead — and we’re bringing national partners to the table to make sure the ecosystem we build together lasts.”
National campaign partners include the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR), the National Peer Recovery Alliance (NPRA), the Recovery Outcomes Institute, and internationally recognized recovery researcher Dr. David Best. The launch event is free and open to community stakeholders and media.
