Addiction Symposium, Ohio State University at Marion

Come join us for a free educational event provided by our generous sponsors! This event will be held in the Guthery Community Room, Maynard Hall at the Marion Campus. (1465 Mt Vernon Ave, Marion, OH 43302)

Our guest speakers include Lori Criss, Director of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Maurice Clarrett, Member of the 2002-2003 OSU National Championship Team, Dan & Jan Stuckey and many more!

The topics covered will include The Role of Trauma in Substance Abuse, Exploring Alternative Options for Pain Management in Special Populations, the Role of Medication in the Care of Patients with Substance Use Disorders, Overcoming Barriers to Recovery, and a Caregivers Journey (a family perspective on the stigma that surrounds addiction.)

A Resource Fair will begin at 11AM and end at 6PM. Some of the organizations that will be represented are Ohio Guidestone, Crawford-Marion ADAMH, Marion-Crawford Prevention Programs, Maryhaven, Recovery Works, ARCHway Institute, and others.

There is no cost to attend the program, but registration is required!

We will serve a buffet-style light lunch starting at 11:45AM and dinner starting at 5:45PM.
